Rialto aikido club

    Hi,
    I'm asking this on behalf of my brother - does anyone know the training times for the Rialto aikido club? He can't find a website anywhere and the ph number on one aikio website seems to be an old one. Anyone know if this club is still there?

    He did it years ago and looking to get back into it.

    Other option might be new Iwama aikido club in Harold's Cross or Tomiki club in Tallaght. I've seen their websites, anyone know much about those clubs or the type of training they do etc?

    Hi Simon!

    I'm the dojo-cho of the Aikido club in Harold's Cross.

    At the moment the lessons are over, but we'll come back in October! As you may have seen, the 2nd and the 4th of October there will be 2 special sessions for beginners.

    To answer your question, the kind of training we do is a little bit different from the Aikikai style, in terms of learning method. We put a lot of focus on the weapons training (bokken and jo) and every time we integrate that with bare hand training.

    I'll suggest you (or/and your brother) joining the trial session in October anyway, so you can make up your mind easily!
