I have recently bought a 08 volvo s40 1.6 diesel with 150,000 kms on the clock, just in the last few days its down on power after starting in the mornings,it doesnt seem to rev past 2500rpm and is totally under powered,however when you stop and turn off ignition and restart the car drivers perfectly,and it only seems to do it in the morning when started from cold.the lad i bought the car off says he had the dpf taken out, im thinking is the egr valve sticking open when its started from cold ??, however we put the diagnostic computer on and no faults showed up,any view would be much appreciated.
