    What is the scrap value by weight of your average family saloon these days?
    e.g Almera....

    I was recently quoted 115 euro/ton by a car dismantlers.

    Been a while since I brought in a car but like above €115/tonne and then they'll probably take 2.50 off for recycling each tyre.

    Think I got around 110 for a clio last time I brought something a few months back.

    Ring a scrapyard and see what they'd give you.
    Then pop her up on donedeal for 100 or so more.
    If no one buys of donedeal, you've lost the price of the ad.
    If someone buys you've pocketed an extra hundred or so.
