Recently, TIMES journalist and former table-tennis champ Matthew Syed said that Abramovich bought Chelsea to protect himself from Putin.

Manchester City are being used to promote a nation(s) image, and possibly help mask widespread human rights abuses.

Liverpool have been bought by a guy who likes "brands"; he this week failed to get the Boston Globe.

Blackburn were bought by chicken "farmers" who really seem to be clueless.

Manchester United were bought by smart investors who saw a cash cow.

    The list goes on.

    mobile device posting sucks!

Will the premier league survive, or even prosper from these rich boys, and will fans be willing, or even able to do something about it?
