Saorview series link/CRID problem - "Hell on Wheels" did not record

Another Saorview PVR related problem to add to the previous problems with now & next info.

I have the "Hell on Wheels" series (RTÉ2, Sunday) series-linked on the Walker PVR but last Sunday night it did not record. The programme is still there in the timer list but not linking to the next episode.

When I go to next Sunday's episode in the epg the programme isn't highlighted but when I select the programme it gives me the option to record the episode or series again. The timer list now has 2 "Hell on Wheels" series in it but only one linking to the next episode.

It would appear they, 2RN/RTÉNL/RTÉ or Red Bee, have messed up again by changing the CRID in the middle of a series (without warning) resulting in the PVR not recognising the next episode in the series.

Did anyone have the same problem with Sky+ or UPC+ or was it unique to Saorview?

Since RTÉNL relocated from Donnybrook to Tallaght we're having these niggly faults with Saorview, are the two issues related or is it simply a lack of interest in the service they provide?

My Panasonic box is recording british programmes regular as a heartbeat, starting and finishing on time. Saorview however is a **** up as it is, some stuff works reliable, other stuff doesn't. Vincent Brown on TV3 accepts series link recording, records the first programme then nothing. Fair City records reliably but RTE have time keeping issues resulting with the end chopped off, even with padding. Maybe they know what they're doing, maybe they don't, maybe they should leave it the **** alone, why reinvent the wheel when another operator has it working like a clock.
