It's a pretty good estate. Been living in it the last 2 years and like it. A few rough ones in the estate but you get that everywhere. Houses are one of the better builds of it's time as compared with other estates in Moate.

Thanks sunny dayz. When you google it you get a thread about frozen pipes and water been cut off. Have those issues been resolved?

When you say rough what do you mean? Council houses? Settled travellers? Drugdealers? Or just bad neighbours or something else altogether?

The problem with the frozen pipes was back in that really bad winter in dec 2010, but that was a problem in many parts of Moate, and most of the country! We have seen two winters here now and there was just the fun of driving around all the corners on ice!

Nice estate just a pitty that three houses ruin it. Council and guards seem happy enough to let anti social behaviour continue. Guards there every week. Many residents have left because of anti social behaviour. Its a shame ...

    Avoid if u can.

Hi all, just wondering what Ard Grainne is like these days. Is there still some anti social behaviour? Would you recommend it. Thanks

Lovely estate, one or 2 houses in the middle cause some issues but nothing major. Been a high turnover in the past few years with many landlords selling and families moving in which is making it better imo.
