Was listening to this programme last Sunday. Coverage of the first qf of hurling was good but I couldn't believe it when the second qf began. It was like Newstalk with presenters talking about incidents as opposed to a running commentary. I thought it sounded very shoddy. I think they would have been better off covering a different sports event altogether.

Yeah, I found it annoying that the commentator kept interrupting the conversation when he thought something was happening on the pitch.. Happened way to often.. They should give prominence to the actual commentary when they have the rights to cover the game.. They have well enough time on either side of the live game to discuss whatever they want.

Someone texted the show saying something similar and Jaquie Hurley said that due to contractual arrangements (or lack of them) RTE weren't able to do a live commentary on the match.
