As I am not a Sky customer, I was wondering what is the best way to sign up to Setanta? Could I buy a second hand Sky box? How could I get a Sky viewing card number?

Can I sign up for Setanta in Northern Ireland instead of the Republic? (It's a LOT cheaper.)

reilly from what I know a second hand sky box will work.

I have just installed a second hand one this evening at home, have the Uk fta Channels however on the epg setanta Ireland and setanta sports 1 not showing. will ring them tomorrow to enquire, subscribe and get card.

on another note what is the optimum signal strength and picture quality on sky box, seems low on my one but signal and picture quality on my combo box is excellent!

Cheers, do you have a Sky viewing card number? I think you need one to sign up to Setanta?

Do BT Sport 1 & 2 and ESPN show?
Let me know how it goes :)

You don't need anything from Sky to receive the Setanta broadcasts ..... according to Setanta (but not according to some posters).

    EDIT:

As others have suggested, it would appear from the Setanta Terms & Conditions, that a Sky Digibox is required, and all the limitations on its use etc etc imposed by Sky Satellite Services Ltd also apply.

Yet, Setanta have consistently, in emails, stated that any STB will suffice.

This saga is not over by a long shot it seems :D
