Do I have to inform Fingal County Council if I stay with a parent for a while?

My dad is renting from Fingal County Council, it's just himself and my younger sister living there so he has a spare room. Myself and my partner are thinking of staying with him for a while to save up a deposit for a new place. Hopefully it will only be a few weeks to save but it could take a bit longer. I'm just wondering if my dad needs to inform the council before we move in, or do we not have to tell them since it's only temporary? Or is there a certain amount of time you're allowed stay in a parents before the council charges us rent?

Sorry if it's in the wrong forum, wasn't sure where to post.

He needs to inform them that you and your partner are moving in or risk having his rent increased and back dated while you's are living there
