Thinking of heading down to Bunratty on Thursday with the kids to bring them to the folk museum. Possibly staying overnight (Coming from Dublin, so a long enough drive).

thiking that if we left early enough on the thursday, hit Bunratty about noon/one & spend the day there, then back to the hotel for the night. So where can we go on the Friday ?

Kids are 8 & 2 (2yo is really just along for the ride)...

Craggaunowen and Aillwee Caves were my favourites as a child.

King Johns castle in Limerick City (sorry - but it's close!) has recently been redone. I heard some tourism guy on the radio, and they are trying to make them into a kind of package deal for people to come down and spend more than an afternoon in the area.

    + Moher Hill Farm

I'm a big fan of Moher Hill Farm but my little girl and her friends loves the place. They've a great cafe there with delicious home baked produce.

As it happens, because of the weather warning. We made other plans, but hope to make it over to Bunratty at some point.
