Mo Farah v Usain Bolt is an interesting concept and it got me thinking of other possible charity races that people may like to see.

One great one would be - An International Rugby relay event. 4 runners from all rugby top tier rugby nations compete in a relay against each other for charity. Players competing must have at least 5 International caps.

    E.G.
Aus Team: Folau , Ioane, Beale, O Connor
Wales: North, Cuthbert, Halfpenny, AN Other
England: Ashton, Foden, Wade (don't think he has 5 yet), Care
Ireland: Zebo, Bowe, suggestions? Gilroy? Earls?
    S.A: Habana, JP Pieterson etc.

I reckon it would sell really well and be an exciting event. If proceeds went to charity also, it would be a nice touch.

What do people think? Could something like this happen?

Add a tackler every 100m and have them offload the baton

Some kind of medley relay would be more interesting -

    1 x Forward (50m)
    1 x Second Row (60m)
    1 x Back Row (80m)
    1 x Back (100m)
    1 x Back (200m)

You get a bit more variety there and adding in a 200m requires someone with a tiny bit more endurance.

Healy or Cronin would provide a massive advantage over the first leg compared to other frontrowers, but we could be undone at second row. Maybe Henderson? Toner could probably cover sixty metres in about 25 strides, so could be an option. Dominic Ryan, if he got the caps, would be a good bet, but he doesn't have them so POM it is. Bowe for the 200 and Zebo for the hundred.

How about a front row tug-of-war?
