WiiU loses wireless connection to UPC Horizon Router

I've asked this question in the Horizon trial thread but didnt get any response.

Does anyone have a WiiU connected wirelessly to UPC's new Horizion box. I lose connection to Black OPs 2 online after about an hours play but this doesnt happen when I connect the WiiU by USB to the router.

The wireless connection worked fine for about a month with no disconnection. I've rang UPC but they dont know what the issue is. An engineer was out sorting another issue and he suggested using wireless channel 1 as game consoles dont cope well with other channels - so I changed channels but still get cut off after approx 1 hour.

I can keep playing with the USB connection but this connection is at least 1/4 slower than wireless.

I've increased the 'Key Interval' on security settings from 600 sec to 2400 sec but that didnt work - I was doubtful but it was the only adjustable timer setting I could find.

If anyone is using this router or another that they successfully fixed this issue on, I'd be grateful for any help.

    thanks

I've had major problems with UPC Horizon and the Wii U. I bought a powerline adapter because the signal wasn't strong enough to reach the Wii U. I can play online with the likes of MK8 just fine. It's when I use the browser, the pages take ages sometimes loading, the blue bar goes about halfway or 3 quarters then sits there for ages doing nothing. When I try closing the pages they take ages as well. At times it's fine but then it just appears out of nowhere. I find if I switch off the UPC box for a minute and switch it back on that it helps. It seems to be a problem just with the Wii U because no other device in the house has any problem with signal strength or pages taking ages to load.

Does anybody know what the problem is and what are the optimal settings for wi-fi to be hassle free? Thanks in advance.
