Has anyone worked or know anyone who worked with them?

Have an interview for them this week but I'm not sure what it is they do exactly.

They seem to be involved in sales and working at various events etc.

I think it's for companies such as SKY etc (although could be wrong)

    Thanks

    This is their webpage..

I had an interview with them today, even after being in the interview it's all a bit wishy washy for my liking.

Said they do events and you basically represent their clients at certain events (sometimes sporting ones like footy matches etc)

I don't think there's a set wage as she said if you don't do well in a week you'd probably be going home with nothing but they do provide some training.

Seems like if you go in and sell nothing they'll fire you within a week on probationary period kind of stuff and if you do well you'll earn a bit of money.

Hi there... I was wondering if you went ahead with this or not and what was your experience? Very interested in hearing back from you. Thank you.

they called me for interview with a beautiful spiel that out of many candidates, i was shortlisted for interview. Just sounded dodge. They obviously are a legit company however, it sounded very mickey mouse so I didn't go for the interview.

Well let us know how you get on.

Have an interview for this company in the morning. They didn't make it quite clear what the role of the job was. Does anyone have any experience with them ?

Did a quick Google - looks a bit -ish.

I would almost never attend an interview if I didn't know what the job was.

Maybe it'll be legit - but door-to-door sales is leaping out at me. Drinks promotions etc would be another, and I'd do that before D2D - scraping the barrel stuff.

I know I googled it aswell it doesn't make any sense. I will still attend though I've literally never struggled so much for a job. I apply places every single day even it is my second time applying. It's almost degrading at this stage.

Saying that though I literally could not take a D2D job it's not even worth your time. The amount of sales jobs listed online is very high, probably for a reason.

I wouldn't really trust a company who can't spell "coming" properly on their own website...

Loada ****e anyway interview went grand but it was commissioned based. Basically sales, wasn't door to door but in shopping centers I'm sure most of you get the picture.

Hi, I'm just wondering did you end up taking the job? I'm only wondering cause I too have an interview this week and just wanted to know what to expect going in.

Hi, I know it's a year later but does anyone have any news on this? Have an interview with them tomorrow but it's all a bit ambiguous. Is it a commission based job/ door to door sales?

It seems to be, there's no wage and it's 100% commission.

    Avoid it like the plague.

I got through the interview and their "work shadow day". They said they would ring me in the coming weeks with more information of start dates and all the rest. No wage was mentioned. Should I start looking for another job? Sorry for posting a year on again, I'm beginning to panic!

If you want a wage, yes. Plenty of doors slammed in your face would be all you'd get with this crowd.

oh no :( thanks for the reply anyway!

Yep don't do it. Like the other poster said. There is no "wage" so to speak. You only make money if you get the person who answers the door to sign up for 'airtricity' or whatever they're selling. I've heard horror stories of people making no money on the day thus having no way home. Any "residential" jobs you see on jobs websites steer clear, there is no wage. I think penneys are looking for people :)

I haven't worked for them but somebody close I know has. It's basically a fundraising and a legit company but the conditions are just dire. No set minimum wage and petrol expenses on top. As other mentioned, if you make no sale on the day you will go home empty handed, standing outside in the rain all day long, although sometimes the employees do work indoors. The working hours are rather long too as you could be travelling up to 2 hours each way from your hometown. Simply isn't worth your while, even as a summer job.

Exactly. I work shadowed them for the day. I was brought down to Limerick for the day. This is what happened: I had to stand up for 6 hours trying to persuade people to sign up for a charity and give their bank account details in the middle of a busy street! I only had a 10 minute break. After a while I got a call from the supervisor telling me that I wasn't giving it 100% and that I should just go and get the bus home and not to be standing there looking misserible.
There is no formal interview. You go and talk to the MD for 5 minutes. Afterwards I got a call saying that I appeared very confidant and proffessional. Nonsense! They just say that to encourage you to do the job as no one else will. You might have noticed that they will not tell you exactly what the job entails until you actually go on the work shadow. They obviously don't want to scare people away. They just focus on the benefits. Be very weary of jobs like these.

hi, i also have an interview with this company in a few days for a "customer service" role. i found a advert for it on jobs.ie with a weekly wage of 350-480 per week however im a bit worried now after reading all these comments. Has anyone else applied for a simliar role with this company and if so, was it this door to door nonsense? thanks

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,766 ✭✭✭RossieMan

its door to door/out on the street. They don't do wages/salaries, unless they've magically found money out of their arse.

They weren't even going to tell you much about the job in the interview. Any mention of commission would turn anyone away. I remember he spent 90% of the interview talking about the perks of the job-holidays abroad etc. They are just another company that takes advantage of people.

I have just gotten a call for an interview with Intense Communications in the morning. I asked what was the role I was being interviewed for and was told a 'sales' role... I'm a bit dubious now reading the comments if this is a legit office/ salary paid job or not? Has anyone gone for an interview for a 'sales' role?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,766 ✭✭✭RossieMan

It's all sales roles. Door to door sales.

Thank you to the people on this thread for warning me about this company. Without your comments, I would've blindly walked into an interview with them. Thank you for keeping me informed. I am really grateful for it.
