I've got quotes from them in the past and they always worked out the most expensive. I went with a broker. O'dowd and Donnelly in Donegal Town. Try few brokers. There is a also quotedevil, 123, one direct, axa.

You will have to ring them all, there is no short cut answer when it comes to shopping around for insurance.

I phoned approx 12 different providers and brokers, (as i do everyyear)

this year i saved (no joke) 500 Euro off my previous year.

Ring around, there is not a single person on here can give you a quote. If its worth a phone call it might be worth 500 Euro in your pocket

    Hi OP.

Was in exact same position as you a month ago. I changed my car and Liberty increased my premium by €18 per month (€42 to €60). I got a quote from AA Ireland for €38 per month so rang Liberty and told them I wasn't renewing. They brought my renewal down to €45 to stop me walking away.

Try negotiating with them, same goes for any insurance company. You would be surprised at how much you could save

:D lol I forgot to mention I couldn't be arsed with changing over for the sake of a few quid a month and having to pay a deposit so I decided to take the small hit for convenience.

Youd have to pay the deposit either way, no?

If Liberty were €45 with no deposit and AA €38 with a deposit then AA were probably quite a bit more expensive?

Lliberty (and Quinn Direct "before" them) have always been very competitive when it comes to youngsters/novices, but seem to be trying to claw it back by quoting older, more experienced folk well over the odds. I don't know how that works out for them, but I suppose they're still there! :D
