    Hi,
We got a nice bed from IKEA for our little boy a couple of years ago but we'd now like to move his younger sister to it and get him a bigger bed. Trouble is - the little dogs (in picture attached) are not PINK!!!
Does anyone know how or what type of paint I could use to put a nice pink over this horrid boyish blue ?
    :-)

Does it need a sanding, undercoat, something else?

My husband is in the process of painting a pine bed White for our little girl. He is using Dulux range an undercoat and then a satinwood finish.

He used 2 coats of undercoat as it was a very deep coloured pine and just allowed 24 hrs in-between coats to dry. He got a smooth enough finish that it didn't require sanding but I know some people do sand at that stage. Then he used a small gloss roller to put on the satinwood finish. As far as I know you can get the satinwood paint in pink. I have to say it looks fantastic and saved us a fortune on buying a new bed.
