    1. What is your budget? €200 (€250 at best)

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? Just to play LoL

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? Yes

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? No

    5. Do you need a monitor? No

5a. If yes, what size do you need. [19'/20'/22'/24'/etc.]

5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future? 1920x1080

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? no

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking? Not really

    8. How can you pay? Credit Card

    9. When are you purchasing? 4-5 Days

    10. If you need help building it, where are you based? Athlone, help would probably be required as it's my first full build but I do have friends that could help me.

If it's not possible I understand but I was told that it should be possible and that as long as I have a decent PSU the electricity bill won't be through the roof with it :)

Really and truly your not going to get much for that price. Windows alone is 80 quid out of your budget. Cheapest build I can put together is for 300 quid and by no means is it great. Why so little money for a build as it would be better to save for a while until you have at least 400 or buy second hand?

See I'm a bit strapped for cash as I'm a student and I commute so I pay travel fees and car insurance tax etc. and I really just can't afford more ... Where would you recommend I get a second hand computer from?

This is about as cheap as I could do a build. It would run league just fine though but there's no dvd drive or copy of windows. If you could get a spare copy somewhere and install it via usb or add a cheap dvd then you're laughing.

    Item|Price
AMD A6 5400K Black Edition mit AMD Radeon HD 7540D Grafikeinheit, Box, FM2|€51.45

    Could try adverts maybe?
Whats the main needs for the PC? Is it just word processing and surfing the net? I actually have spare parts off an old build that you could have for an alright price? Budget PSU, dvd drive, ram, small hdd with windows on it, processor and motherboard and graphics card. Its not top spec but it would do for surfing the net and word processing etc. Can list the full spec if interested.

Basically all you would need then is a case and possibly a second hdd

Didnt realise LOL was League of legends... facepalm

If interested in the spec here it is:
    Board: Epox EP-9NDA3I
    CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3200+
    4x1GB GEIL RAM DDR
    400Watt PSU (icute)
    Saphire Radeon HD3850 Graphics
40GB Western Digital IDE drive with win XP or vista on it. Cant remember which.

Not sure if this would run LOL though

Recurve360 - I think that just about scrapes by on the minimum requirements, how old is the entire thing? PM me the details of it and how much you'd be looking for for it.

BloodBath - That looks great man, I'm pretty sure I could scrounge a drive from a friend's attic or something. I've no idea where I could get a cheap copy of windows, especially on usb form.

One thing I did when building my lastest PC was bought everything apart from Windows, used the three month trail and that gave me time to save to buy a copy. Then all I had to do was enter the serial key. Saves bout 80 for the time being.

What segasega said, though it's actually four months. :)

There's always the super cheap Dell route

Ebay is flooded with older Dells

    e.g.
    http://www.ebay.ie/itm/Dell-OptiPlex-780-TOWER-Intel-Core2Duo-E8400-3GHZ-2GB-DDR3-250GB-DVD-RW-Win-7-/330971438763?pt=UK_Computing_DesktopPCs&hash=item4d0f6f5eab
(this was after a quick search, a longer search I'm sure you'll find a nice quad core for same price)

all you have to do is find the right one and add a second hand graphics card (e.g. AMD 5770 approx 50 euros)

et voila gaming PC that will play handle 95% of games on medium settings.

Bloodbaths build should keep league above 30 fps even in team lights in LOL.
If that's good enough for you go for it. It's the best gaming PC you will get for the price.

If you overclock the ram and igp a little you would easily get 60 fps @ 1080p. You might have to turn shadows down to low and maybe 1 or 2 other things a little.

I had to use my igp on the 3570k (hd4000) for a month and I was only playing league. I was getting a solid enough 60fps though with some settings turned down.

Sadly hdd's and ram prices kill these budget builds. 250gb and 500gb hdd's aren't worth buying over 1tb for the little money saved.

I'd recommend trying to scrounge a HDD from some PC. There are always a few lying around somewhere.

Where are you based. I have some old small drives around.

Most are ide but I might have 1 or 2 sata drives or maybe you know someone who could give or sell you an old small 80 - 250gb sata drive or even a small 30 or 60gb ssd.

I'm in Athlone BloodBath. And yeah that build of yours seems to be the way that I'll go with possible overclocking in the future :)

I'm in Athlone as well. I'll have a look and see if I have any small sata drives left if you want.
