laptop on a budget/higher purchase?

    well I currently have an ACER netbook and it does my head in so I was looking to get a laptop. unfortunately my budget's only around 400 euro! I was looking at this Compaq one, and this HP pavilion one in particular.

    I'd love to get a sony VAIO because that was what I used to have but it's a bit out of my price range now!

    which comes to the second part of my query, is there any shop, or online where I can get a laptop on higher purchase? I googled it but most of the links I found were either american, or from around 2009 so I wasn't sure if they were still relevant.

    I'm in the Cork area, if anyone knows any stores! I'm trying PC World this week but I think they've stopped higher purchase? if they ever did..

    Which Tesco ? I haven't seen any in Cork anyways.

    didn't even realise that was wrong, and I've always spelled it like that, whoops! I haven't seen the compaq one in my local tesco either but they rarely have laptops..

    hire purchase? You mean like owning it but paying slowly? Argos does that now.
    pcspecialist.co.uk also have a similar option.
