    Hi!

Can anybody recommend a decent gym in the Blackpool/Glanmire areas of Cork please? Im here for a few weeks for work and would like to find one close by.

    Cheers!

There's mayfield community centre not too far from Glanmire. It's basic but it's cheap and they have a large selection of equipment. The strength/weight training section is very good. You can pay as you go also (€6.50), rather than joining (depending on how long you're staying).

The Mardyke is probably the best overall gym in Cork, but it's very expensive and also kne of the busiest. Some of the equipment is in short supply (e.g. Only one squat rack).

There a place in the Northpoint commercial estate K2C and a new weightlifting gym on the Watercourse Rd also Hardcore is down there . Theres a Muay Thai kickboxing club in the Sunbeam and Planet Health club just off Blackpool on the Old Mallow Rd.
