    Hi Lads.

I recently undertook soil samples of a field I am going reseeding next week (plough, till, sow method). I was wondering does any one understand the results on what is required for the land?

    Many thanks guys!!

Good results for P and K but needs but needs 3t lime to the acre which I would go with 2t this year and the balance next year.

Still advisable to use some P and K when reseeding but probably okay with 18-6-12 rather than 10-10-20.

The only problem is that the field I took this test from was meadow ground that had received silage cut 6 weeks prior too the test!! will this make a false result?

    thanks for help

It will I'm afraid as it is recommended that soil samples are taken when no fertiliser has been applied for 2/3 months.

Got back results of soil test today. It gives 2 results for pH, one is 7.6(water) and the other is 6.9(SMP).
I'm wondering why is there 2 different pH results and which one is the one to go by ?

Also, K came back very low @ 46.9mg/l which is index 1 so gonna hav to improve that asap
