Back to Education Allowance Question

Hi I'm just wondering if I'm entitled to Back to BTEA. I'm thinking of doing a repeat course of leaving cert.

They say "To qualify for the Back to Education Allowance, you must be at least 21 years of age." But I'm not 21 until November..

But then it says "However, if you are getting Jobseeker's Allowance, Jobseeker's Benefit or One-Parent Family Payment for the required period (3 or 9 months), are aged between 18 and 20 and have been out of the formal education system for at least 2 years you may qualify." Is a FETAC course part of the formal education system?

But seen as I have already completed the leaving cert can I even qualify for BETA, even if I was over 21??

Would it be worth the risk for me to not tell them that I am doing a course and continue to collect Job Seekers Allowance or would I be entitled to any grants?
