    Hey there,

just wondering if anyone has any good suggestions for a rescue wood that i could get for around 100 euro?. I can't hit my four iron so am looking for an alternative... Having bought a new driver, the rescue was a similar price of 200. Dont really want to spend that much on one..

    thanks

What kind of things do you need rescuing from ?

Do you carry a 3 iron, or is the 4 iron the 'longest' iron in your bag ?

What's your next longest club after your Driver ; 3 wood, 5 wood, 7 wood ?

What kind of distance do you get from a decent shot with your 4 iron ?

Taylormade do some good ones and the new ones are adjustable so u can switch between a 2/3 hybrid with one club. You could pick one up second hand in good condition for less then 100 euro ..

Another vote for Adams, I bought an older model A3 for €20 on ebay, absolutely brilliant.

thanks for all the replies lads, looks like an adams is worth looking into.... could you post up some links to them or where i might even get a second hand one?

to answer the above, the 4 iron is the longest iron i have, a decent shot id hit maybe 170 yards, thing is i cant seem to hit it at all.... i have a 5 wood which is hit and miss

There is basically very little difference between the Adams & tm rbz hybrids.

My understanding of the story is that Adams sued tm for copying their technology. So rather than go through the courts tm bought adams.

You could prob get the mark 1 rbz for pretty good value now seeing as they are in to the mark 2 now. I've got the 19 & 22 degree versions & they're superb clubs. Easy to hit & very long.

Don't want to put you off getting a rescue club, but if you're having trouble hitting both a long iron and a 5 wood then money spent on a lesson might be the way to go. Rescue clubs need a decent swing to work.

Lessons with a decent teacher are very underrated & the money spent on them is never wasted. Money spent on different clubs rarely fixes swing faults.

(But if you have to, then +1 on the TM Rescues ;)

If I'm in trouble under a tree or with a hindered lie I'll play my Callaway Diablo Edge 3 hybrid. Easiest club to hit in the bag imo.

Ping G 15 or 20, you should see a 17 degree second hand on adverts within your limit, great club from the tee and rough.

Halpenny were selling of RBZ Rescues and Titleist 910Hybrids for sub €100. They were ex-demos all in great nick.

I have the 910H in a 21* and am pretty chuffed with it. It's my first rescue so took some time to get used to, and I still don't think I'm there. But when I catch it right, it's marvelous.
