    CRI ALERT

    Child Rescue Ireland (CRI) Alert missing children Co.Carlow 29th July 2013
    Gardaí at Carlow Garda Station are seeking the public’s assistance in tracing the whereabouts of Sanjeev Chada (43 years) and his two children Eoghan (10 years) and Ruairi (5 years) from Ballinkill, Bagnalstown, Co.Carlow. They were reported missing at 1.30 am on Monday 29th. July 2013.

    Gardaí have initiated a Child Rescue Ireland (CRI) Alert.

    Gardaí at Carlow Garda Station are seeking the public’s assistance in tracing the whereabouts of Sanjeev Chada (43 years) and his two children Eoghan (10 years) and Ruairi (5 years) from Ballinkill, Bagnalstown, Co.Carlow. They were reported missing at 1.30 am on Monday 29th. July 2013.

    Mr Chada left the family home at 6.30pm on 28th. July 2013 in the company of his two children en route to the Dome Bowling Centre in Carlow Town and has not contacted his family since.

    Mr Chada is driving a green Ford Focus registered number 06 CW 238.

    Eoghan is described as 4’10’’ medium build, black shoulder length hair. He was wearing a navy tracksuit bottoms, dark top and white runners.

    Ruairi is described as 3’10’’ with black short hair and brown eyes. He has a slight scar above his right eye. He was wearing a red and white Middlesboro jersey.

    Sanjeev is described as 6’, with shoulder length hair and wearing a dark top.

    Anyone with information is asked to contact Carlow Garda Station on 059 9136620 or any Garda Station.

    Gardaí have initiated a Child Rescue Ireland (CRI) Alert. Initiating a CRI Alert requires careful consideration. As indicated at the launch of the initiative, media assistance is vital in ensuring the support of the community and the safe return of the child. Further information on the Child Rescue Ireland Alert System is available on the Garda website.
    Child Abduction in the context of these guidelines refers to taking or detaining a 'Child 'under the age of eighteen (18) years without lawful authority or reasonable excuse.
    The legislation applicable to the term abduction is:
    Section 15 Non Fatal Offences against the Person Act 1997, False Imprisonment
    Section 16 Non Fatal Offences against the Person Act 1997, Abduction
    Section 17 Non Fatal Offences against the Person Act 1997, Abduction
    CRI Alert will only be launched when all the following criteria exist.
    • The child is under the age of eighteen (18) years
    • There is a reasonable belief that the child has been abducted
    • There is a reasonable belief that there is an immediate and serious risk to the health or welfare of a child
    • There is sufficient information available to enable the public to assist An Garda Síochána in locating the child

    Updated descriptions
    1. Sanjeev Chada – Maroon Polo Shirt Tommy Hillfiger make, blue Levis Jeans, brown leather slip on shoes, no jacket.

    2. Eoghan Chada – Navy Canterbury Track suit bottoms. Red Ferrari Baseball cap, Adidas runners black with multicoloured sides.

    3. Ruairi Chada – Red and White Middlesboro t-shirt, grey Nike tracksuit bottoms, Maroon Hoodie. White Ferrari runners with yellow Ferrari logo on side. Runners had Velcro not laces.

    Horrible outcome. RIP.

    Good to see the CRI used correctly and getting so much online exposure relatively fast however
