flies eating loganberries

    This happens a lot even though it seems worse when the fruit is already a bit over ripe.

    But I wonder are the flies (midges?) spoiling the berries before it becomes noticeable-making them go soft before their time.

    Other than that is there really no treatment at all except for growing your crop indoors in controlled conditions?
