    Hi there,

I have a Canadian bank account with Scotiabank. When visiting Ireland, can I use that card to withdraw from Bank of Ireland ATMs? Its a Scotia One account, and the card is an Interac debit card. Scotiabank say I can if you are part of Global Alliance ATM, I just want to be sure before I go. Thank you.

    Hi bearhugs,

Bank of Ireland ATMs accept all cards within the maestro and cirrus schemes – i.e.cards affiliated with Mastercard or Visa.
Fees applied are as per scheme agreement. If the card displays the Visa or Mastercard symbol, it will be accepted on BOI ATMs.

We are not part of the Global Alliance.

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks
    Linda
