First paper refusal

    This has always annoyed me but it was i ly the other day when my friend was stocking the paper in tesco that she mentioned it to me.the huge amount of people that won't take the first paper.they always move te top one and take the one underneath .any ideas why???

    Because people have been leafing through the first one, inserts removed, and the first paper being on the outside of the bale is more likely to be wet/damaged/torn.

    Well she was saying as she is unpacking them handing them to people waiting people request the one under the first .
    Now I do it myself Even if the paper is perfect .

    Ha! I thought this about an academic paper and the refusal of a journal to publish! :D

    I used to work in a shop and I witnessed this behaviour and tbh, I'm guilty of said behaviour myself.
    I agree with periodictable; 'we' usually assume that the supplements are missing from the uppermost paper. Furthermore, this paper may not be neat as the other editions as it has not be pressed by the weight of other papers.
