Hi guys just a quick question about a problem I had in a competition last week.Signed up for competition in castlemartyr last Tuesday.Went to swipe my car and there computer said nine when I was 9.5 at the time hence ten.I tried to find the pro in the shop to alert him of this but he had gone off somewhere so just went out as I didn't want to miss tee time.I checked golfnet.ie 9.5.so came in with my card to swipe in but they were closed so I had to leave card in box.I put down 9 as this was on computer and had 40 points off that also put a note on card explaining my problem. When I check golfnet it had me down for 40 which was 5 better than standard scratch so got cut to 8.5 not 8.3 which would have been off ten doesn't bother me at all just wondering should I bring it to someone's attention as want to stick by laws of the great game

As far as I know the systems in most clubs for signing in are not always up to date with Golfnet.

They do be howdidido etc so if I was you and your Golfnet on the day of the comp said you were off 9.5 I would have chAnged it to 10 on the sign in computer when prompted to accept the 9 handicap.

Your Golfnet will adjust it accordingly officially and I wouldn't worry about it to be honest.
