See a lot of slugs on lawn this evening and daddy long legs. I've heard people have problems with same. Is there anything I should do

I have no first hand experience with leatherjackets-which are the larvae of the cranefly (apart from knowing they are a pest).

    http://ladybirdplantcare.co.uk/leatherjacket.html

is a link that maybe be useful (biological control)

I don't know if slugs harm the lawn but apparently you can attack them by mowing in the evening or at night.
