Just wondering if anyone could tell me if I need anything else if I was to buy a bike rack such as this I presume it would block the number plate so wondering if thats an issue? Any feedback appreciated.

If it blocks the plate, just get another made (approx €15) and fasten it to the bike. Gardai generally aren't too fussy but if you're travelling abroad, you'll need it.
