Skoda Octavia Lock Nut Replacement

I need to replace a lock nut on my vrs. Last one was put on by the incredible hulk with a nuclear powered gun. And was made of butter. Haven't got it off yet, but when I do, I was wondering what would be the best option for replacement.

1. Skoda Main Dealer Replacement
2. McGard
3. Micksgarage one
4. Replacement Bolt

It's a 2007 VRS diesel with 18's.

Well, the main dealers are charging €70+, so they're out. :-)

If it was my car I would just fit standard nuts. Locking nuts won't stop anyone who actually seriously wants to take your wheels.

Locking nuts are like having your reg etched on the windows,costs you money and still won't deter anyone hell bent on doing harm.

Very few will go to the hassle of robbing wheels in public places where lock nuts are fitted.

If someone wants your wheels they are taking them,locknuts might cover you while you are shopping in tescos but they might not cover you while you sleeping.

Lock nuts slow down undesirables removing the wheels and used in conjunction with alarm can make the difference between keeping your wheels or losing them.

Of course someone who is determined who has the opportunity, tools and time can still steal your wheels.

When car's didn't have immobiliser as standard there was a lot stolen every night. When radios where not coded they too where up for grabs.
It can be argued cars and radios still get stolen and that is true but nothing like the numbers in the 90s.
