I don't see a thread set up for this so thought I'd start one.

Anybody know if there is any live feed over the weekend, and are RTE doing a highlights programme again this year?

Please put updates up here for those of us not in the country :)

Highlights tomorrow night as usual, I'm not sure on the time. I'm heading up both days myself so will try fire up afew results. Really looking forward to competing in the 800m today, after last nights heroics!

    Very poorly advertised.
Am I right in thinking it's €10 for an adult and kids are free?

    TV highlights on Monday
RTE2 will show a 45 minute highlights programme of the Woodie’s DIY National Championships on Monday 29th of July from 8.15pm-9pm. Jason Harvey matched Thomas Barr's recent 49.78 in winning the men's version. Barr had to settle for silver with 50.13.

Correction: Thomas Barr matched his recent 49.78 in winning the men's version. Harvey had to settle for silver with 50.13.

Best day I've ever had at nationals. I had 10 kids from the club with me who were autograph hunting. Best thing about it was how good the athletes were with them and I reckon there all going to be 400m hurdlers after today thanks to the PR and smiles of the Barrs.

Only negative was 1 womens team in the 4x400m.

Eoin Everard proves thristywork2 wrong by winning the mens 1500 title just like Woodchopper said he would back in early June.

What happened John Travers in that race? Finished down in 8th place in 3.52.

TRR salutes woodie yet again. TRR thinks woodie should get down to paddy power. TRR would like woodie to give him a few tips for the worlds so TRR can win big. TRR loves woodie.

    Nice to hear.

Thomas Barr was just 0.18 off the B-Standard for Moscow. Gutted he fell just short. Would have been a great experience for him.

The track was like a river alright. Had to laugh at Chamney's shirt though. Straight out of the box without sight of an iron & no cuff links either.

Any chance that RTE will put up the full events on their website?

What about European Olympic Days in Netherlands? There was a wonderful team of athletes. They achieved so much yet they got very little media reports.
The Olympic Council of Ireland's Committee yet again treated themselves to another junket, they have one almost every month .They wine and dine, stay in the high star hotels hence would not like too much media coverage. They don't draw attention to themselves, all in the name of Olympic Sports. Of course these guys are over fed obese old men. Now back to the question why were our elite young athletes ignored by our media?

Not ignored by the media, its the AAI organization that has to get the media attention. So its AAI that's ignoring their own upcoming stars

Yes they are that alright. Trouble is the A.A.I don't want to upset the OCI junket men, they are all in it for their own personal gain, the poor athletes are at the bottom of the list. Think of the experience our athletes would gain by travelling to the best coaches around the world, the funding would be there if the junkets were banned.
