Can I be refused travel on the Luas now?

Basically, a few days ago I was on the luas with a child's ticket, I'm 16, so, they had full right to throw me off the luas due to the fact that a child's ticket is up to 15, that much I understand and have no problem with. I got off the tram when the inspector asked me to and asked if I could just pay the difference between a child ticket and an adult ticket which he refused, which again, I have no problem with, as it's only his job, due to the fact I didn't have enough money for an adult ticket on me, I refused and got someone to pick me up and drop me to where I was going.
Anyway, later I decided to try come home using the same child ticket I still had, as it was a return ticket, I saw the two security guards who were with the inspector from earlier and they threw me off the luas without even asking for a ticket.
Now I have no doubt this will blow over in a few weeks, as the inspector didn't even try to issue a fine and does not have my name nor address, for now, if I see this inspector or these two security guards and have a valid adult ticket can they still insist I vacate the tram?

Read the part about the standard fare above, seems you can still be fined any time up to 14 days after they have caught you if they catch you again.

Funny how easy you just walked.
How convenient you made bail straight away.

BetterThanThou - You're giving them information. Don't deny it. And you know what happens to people who give them information.

    What does that mean?

I find this all a bit incredible. Firstly, how can they issue a fine if they don't know your details? Secondly, how can they verify you are somebody who committed an offence when you make a subsequent journey, did they take a photo of you to be posted on every tram?Thirdly, why were you still in possession of the ticket on the return journey, surely the Inspector should have confiscated it?
If, on a later date you have a ticket, valid for the journey you are making, then they have no justification in asking you to leave the tram, in fact, they had no justification in asking you the first time, without inspecting your ticket. Something does not gel, I think, at the very least there's something you're not telling us.

I totally sympathize with you,Better than Thou.....any chance of a profile picture...just for the record...would you be capable of picking the Security Staff out of a Line Up..?

Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one.
