got caught on dosing stuff

    was buying sprays, zanil etc off of a fella and I told him to throw in a cheap wormer for calves.. lungworms , hoose etc ... flipping thing was injection 10ml per 100kg so few yearlings got riddled with pin holes (400 kg = 40ml 3 injection sites) .. never again!! I done yearlings again and 2013 calves with covexin 8 5ml first shot... so I all injected out!! 40ml under the skin is silly though?!!

    you want a 60ml syringe and you will be grand. lemiasole based injection I presume at those quantities

    Yep that's the one bob... Might be a great wormer for a change as I'd usually use ivermectins in injection form

    Only had a 20ml syringe ... Would you spread say 50ml for a 500kg animal in say 4 different sites ?

    Same here , 2 x 25mls for the heavier animals .
    They went mad after letting them out , galloping around for 20 minutes .
    Seemed like the injection was stinging them , auld lad said it was like the warble fly was at them :D

    Ya used it here (levacide) during the week on yearlings that were coughing with hoose. Rest of them got an ivomerctin. 40ml in a subcutanous injection is a bit ott.

    If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

    You can get a levacide pour on. It's cheap (less than a euro per animal) and is an effective summer dose.
