IT support work, anyone got any info

    I got offered a course in IT Support, is it worth doing? is there many jobs in IT support? any info/advice would be greatly appreciated.

    It can be tough and depending where you live it can be even tougher to land a job.

    You need the experience on top of qualifications, don't expect to get a job after you walk out of the course. (You might, luckily, but just don't count on it)

    there's work out there, you just have to be prepared to work your way up from the bottom. there's no quick fix in any industry these days, it takes years to get to the top, you just have to stick with it.

    also, you don't have to be a geek, but it really does help imho.

    like the old saying goes, find something you like doing and then figure it how to get someone to pay you to do it! :)

    iT is rarely 9 to 5 so you need to be prepared to work some unsociable hours. As others said experience will be key so be prepared to start at a very junior level and doing the work nobody else wants to do.
