My CLK is blowing room temp air-con, anybody reccomend a place on the northside to get it looked at? any idea on the price of getting it re-vac'ed and topped up?

Fastfit are doing it for 40 lids.

Got mine done in tallaght recently. Great job took 40 minutes or so.

Apologies for the hijack, but would this also apply to fan/AC that's smelling rather.... well, smelly really.

There's no problem with temperature, just the pong. Fan also steaming up the car more than I suspect it should, I have to have the AC on most of the time.

Presume something just needs cleaning out.

They clean it out and you can opt for a deodoriser if you wish, think thats a 10r extra

Bah, just phoned one and they only top up the gas, they won't clean it - air con specialist needed for that apparently.

So my local one said anyway

Temp all good, just a suggestion and quick fix, check your pollen filter, may not be that at all, give it a go anyway.

....or just throw away the pollen filter (unless you have a couple of chronic asthmatics travelling with you).
We all managed for many years without them ;).

It's called a pollen filter, but some believe that it's only there to stop you getting a fright when a fly bursts out through an air vent :D.

    Nice one!

I got the name of an aircon fella from my garage - they thought it'd be about 60 quid - I never actually found out as he doesn't answer his phone and his mailbox is full

Unfortunately I'm going away for 10 days in my car with my smelly a/c tomorrow, so no time to get it sorted first. But I'll be onto this as soon as I get back.

Cheers for the link OP :D

I got the voucher straight away, maybe give Citroen a ring - they might get you in this afternoon or early tomorrow?

I'm tied up all day today (not literally! ) and need to leave first thing tomorrow so it's the smelly a/c I'm afraid. Or hope it stops raining and I can leave the roof down :D
