Baldemar looks overpriced here after a couple of very decent runs this year. Typical of a sprinter he has been inconsistent but that is the nature of these races. He can work of this mark as his last winning mark was 8lbs higher and has a decent record with the jockey up today. He may not have the best of draws but that remains to be seen. It doesn’t take a lot of analysis to work out that he isn’t a 33/1 shot here.

I think TAROOQ might have a good run, drop to 6 and the ground might be the key on turf, good jockey on board also, it is around 12s. But tis a very big field with mines in it.

Pea Shooter looked to have a little more comfortably than the margin suggested LTO and the runner up Head Space has gone on to win subsequently. 3lb rise seems more than fair and is on a good mark when compared to last year. Minefield of a race though.

Anybody who's not listening to Andy Holding on William Hill podcasts is seriously missing out, he really knows his stuff, was 5/7 at Down Royal tonight. One of the losers was a value bet also, 15 pound L63 returns 400 quid on the 5/6. Hat-tip to whoever told me about him I saw it on here somewhere recently.
