    This is the wrong area for this Thread but couldnt find where to put so if a mod could move it please

    The new channel BT showing Premiership soccer
    Is this available in Ireland ?

    It is indeed, it now makes up part of the Sentanta Sports Package.

    Is it going to be on UPC? I though I heard somewhere that they hadn't a deal in place with BT yet but I'm wondering has that changed?

    Not at the moment, we're hearing zero about what is happening with BT Sport (and indeed the future of the currently basic tier Setanta Ireland and ESPN) on UPC. Cable customers in the UK are in the same boat. There's only one week to go now till BT Sport launches although worth noting that it took ESPN up until the day before the Premier League started in 2009 to do a deal with UPC.

    The dropping of ESPN for Sky Sports subscribers will be a bit of a blow.

    Always liked it for a bit of MLS or NCAA football.

    I got rid of Sky Sports for the Summer because of no football, but during the season last year I had free ESPN with the full Sky Sports package.

    How will that work now since ESPN and BT Sport are part of the Setanta package?

    I have Eircom broadband also so I was able to watch the games that were on Setanta through the Eircom website.

    Setanta1, BT1,2 and ESPN are going to be €16 a month in the new package on UPC. First two months free if you sign up before end of September.

    That's only for UPC. On Sky it's €199 in one payment (which works out at €16.58 per month) or €19.99 monthly. http://www.setanta.com/ie/gamechanger/
