How do you treat your brush?

Is there anything I should be doing with my brush on a regular basis?

I rinse it clean after use, and hang it on the stand, until the next time.

The main factor is to let it dry out between uses, you don’t want it staying damp and getting mouldy. Ensure there is a good airflow around it.

Rinse it well in clean water after use and if you want you can clean it every few months with a gentle shampoo, something like baby shampoo.

Some manufacturers recommend not shaking it dry or squeezing it dry as it puts strain
on the knot. Rather dry it by using strokes on a dry towel as if you are painting a wall - up and down strokes.

Avoid too much pressure when lathering and applying lather, you don’t want to smash the hair/bristles. Again some manufacturers will recommend applying the lather in up/down strokes and not to use a circular motion.

To follow on the excellent advice above I'll just add what I do:
    1. Rinse w/ cold water alternating between letting the bristles sponge up the water and giving a gentle squeeze until all soap is gone (usually 4-5 times)
    2. Shake out vigorously in shower
    3. Dry (somewhat) on towel in circular motions
    4. Dry rest of brush
    5. One last shake or two
    6. Hang

My brush and razor are in a stand on the sink. You don't want to hang it in a closed cabinet with no air flow.

In regards to general care I also read to be careful not to soak the bristles in scalding hot water (you should be able to stand it yerself).

Keep it in a normal water for a night to get easy and lathery shave and same procedure for tooth brush to make it soft which keeps you away from gum related issues.
