01 Nissan Almera Hatchback - CD Player Query?

    Hey

I bought a Nissan Almera 01 Hatchback there a few months ago. It currently only has a tape player in it, but there's a slot on the end for where a 6 cd changer could have been fitted according to the manual. Does anyone know if it'd be possible for me to just slot a regular CD player into there?

    Thanks

Just replace the headunit, you can get a facia adaptor for around the heater controls that has a standard DIN sized opening.

If all else fails you can try Halfords or a nissan dealer.

There is a cd version of your radio available. Same shape and size of your cassette ... the model no. is PN 2424.
If you use an adaptor plate you will also have to get an adaptor lead as the wiring for replacement radio will be totally different to the original.

You can usually find sellers on ebay that will sell a kit containing wiring adapter and fascia.

This search on ebay.ie should help:
    Link

All the results will ship to Ireland as it is the Irish site.

Do you need usb connectivity? Were you considering a Bluetooth handsfree?
Might be worth getting a unit with all these included
