Lm with the cows, and a young HE bullock with the heifers. Considering I'm under quota, and we had quite afew late calvers, i might just leave the LM in with the cows for a good few more weeks 2bh. I'm culling afew of the late calvers, but some of the late calvers have no issue other wrong with them, so going to try just pull them back from caving in june/july this year to may next, and will stick out the winter milk another year. Hard to know if I'm only annoying myself doing this I'll admit, long term compact feb calving is most certainly the target.

bulls coming out in the morning, fr bulls running with everything.
out a week earlier than last year.
will see how it goes with repeats and scanning in a months time, might not calve anything in may for spring 15, calving interval is down to 376 days

whenever I see a cow bulling I AI her. Whenever they calve I milk them. Organised chaos.

Leave the bull with the sucklers all the time, keeps him happy and easier to manage.

Still in here and no plans to take them out yet. Only started mid May so will be Sept at least before I take them out.

Cull cows are dropping fast, a lot of sucklers I reckon are being culled so I think this time next year cattle might be scarce and I could off load late calvers with a calf at foot. But next year who knows WTF will happen:eek:

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

Angus bull with cows and shorthorn with heifers. Will leave angus bull with cows with bull calves when seperating bull and heifer calves next week just to keep him quiet. Will leave shorthorn with heifers as all are bulled so wont make much difference.Usually find that anything not in calf at this stage wont go in calf as bulls out since may 2nd so have had lots of time.
