Hi folks, does anyone know of any camp sites in Donegal suitable for campervan? In particular around Bunbeg/Derrybeg or Gweedore areas? Thanks in advance.

If you ring up Teach Paidi Og in Crolly. There was a camp site located right behind the pub, not sure if it still exists!

We spent the 2nd week of July here:

    http://www.knockallacaravanpark.com/

Very clean and well run site with good facilities and a short walk to the 2nd best beach in the World according to the Observer!

The grass pitches at the end of the site have the best views but hard standing was also available.

If you're exploring South West Donegal there are plenty of fabulous spots between Killybegs and Slieve League near Muckross and Castle Murray.

For specific spots close to Slieve League, we've often parked overnight at the car park in Carrick village (opposite Óstan Siabh Liag) or the carpark at The Rusty (Mackerel) in Teelin. Once you're supporting local bars, shops etc you'll be very welcome.
