Foam Earplugs

Not strictly Trinity related, but I've noticed a fair few studiers wearing these in the library. They seem like an obvious purchase, but where do you get them? I popped into Boots to try and get some, but they weren't, as far as I could tell, available. Anywhere know where in town sells them?

I have gotten them in Boots and Tesco before. Did you ask a member of staff in Boots if they were in stock? They nearly always have them.

I think the student shop does them.

I've spent 4 years in Trinity wondering why the hell the Student Shop sold ear plugs! Makes so much sense now, thanks

Also, most musical instrument shops sell them too.

They are horrible IMO, the wax earplugs work way better.

Wax ones might be a bit of a inconvenience when the fire alarm goes off. Security get a bit angry when they have to go up to people and tell them to leave.

Haha yeah, but the only reason you'd need earplugs would be if the library was full of noisy people, and if it was full of noisy people you'd notice them getting up and leaving in a hurry if there was a fire drill :P

They were an essential purchase back when I was doing my masters. Only way to keep the rage levels in check in the library!!

Haha, I didn't ask anyone, I just sorta looked around the aisles looking for them then left dejected looking, you know me, too timid for that sorta intense social contact :P will ask next time I go in...

In the Hamilton, the alarm is quite low in the library. I've only heard it once myself, and I've been in there for 3-4 alarms in the past two years. Normally security shout at the staircase to get people out.
