Nobody here can know what is cheap for you to insure as insurance companies have different ways of calculating premiums based on the individual's age, location, driving experience, etc. The only way you are going to know is by taking a few example cars and get online quotes or ring the insurance companies/brokers directly for quotes.

I'm afraid there is no shortcut for this.

Get a 1.6 Jetta or Passat or Corolla anything is cheap to insure if you are not a teenager

If you get any 1.6 Jettas for €1400 will you let me know

(Unless you're talking the 80s model)

Are you suggesting, that different cars might be cheaper to insure depending on person.

F.e. person A wants to insure almera saloon and is quoted 500, while for civic hatchback quote is 700.
Person B want to insure almera saloon and quote is 700, while for civic hatchback quote is 500.

I strongly doubt it works like that.
If there are any cars which are for any reason more expensive to insure, I'd guess that they would be more expensive for most people.

The jetta has a completely different chassis to a bora with it being based on the mk5 golf. The bora is based on a mk4 golf and has a much less sophisticated suspension setup as a result.

Waits for the inevitable 'but they're called a Jetta in the US' defence...
