Hi, I have just got a call from my son that I have not seen in years and he wants to meet me Sunday. I have 4 days to try improve my appearance. I live in Wexford. Is there anywhere i can go to get my hair done that would tell me what style and colour would suit best. And anywhere that would help with picking something to wear because i am not good at that.

Anything else I could do to improve my appearance in 3 days?

God I am so nervous but excited.
    Can anyone help?

    Hey Betty,

that sounds great a long awaited reunion then. I hope it goes well for you. Not based in wexford myself so sorry I cannot be of much help but is there a debanams or something in the area. I know you can go in there and ask for a assistant who you say kind of what you like or just say go for it pick what you think and shell go off pick clothes you try on and see how it goes. Might be a good option plus they do not charge for it, so it will not cost anything extra.

As for hairdressers sorry I woulnt have a notion perhaps pop a post up in the wexford region

The last time I was in Gorey there were some lovely shops. I'm not sure how old you are or how adventurous your style is but I loved Ruby Rouge. La Creme also specialises in style advice and will help you put a look together.

Also, I know you want to look your best and also give yourself a confidence boost for what is bound to be an emotional reunion, but try to enhance your own style and personality rather than trying to dress yourself as something you're not. If you're dressed too far outside your comfort zone that could well translate to you feeling awkward and uncomfortable in the situation. What I'm trying to say us be the best person you can be rather than trying to pretend to be something you're not- your son has initiated contact because he wants to see you, not some idealised lady. Sorry if I'm prying, I know this isn't pi. Enjoy your time with your son!
