    Night three of WWE Tapings...

Smackdown was filmed in Corpus Christie this week, so everyone should have an idea of how this show is going to end :pac:

    Dark Match

    1. Justin Gabriel defeated Robbie Jennie. Gabriel hit his 450 splash.

    WWE Smackdown

    1. Randy Orton defeated Damien Sandow. The show opened with the match. Orton had a great pop and Sandow had a great promo. The crowd was into the match quickly. Cody came out and distracted Sandow, who got the RKO from Randy for the win. Cody then proceeded to steal the case leaving Sandow confused.

CM Punk came out to huge pop. He cut a great promo on Brock and Heyman. The crowd loved it. Fandango came out, did his routine, and got hit with GTS. Punk left and the Wyatt's were hyped for later.

    2. Mark Henry and the The Usos defeated Wade Barrett and the Prime Time Players. Poor Barrett he needs to be up in the card. Henry and the Usos received equally good pops. Henry hit the World's Strongest Slam and won the match. A video aired of AJ's "state of mind" coming tonight.

Alberto Del Rio told Vicki he should pick his opponent since John Cena did. RVD came in and Del Rio told RVD to prove himself for a title shot. RVD said he would tonight. Sandow came out to look for his case. He talked to Sin Cara who speaks no English. RVD came out to biggest pop of night.

    3. Alberto Del Rio defeated Rob Van Dam. Del Rio won with a kick (I think) as RVD talked to the ref.

Sandow was still looking and ran into Mark Henry and Booker T. They acted like Cody was a thief. Sandow said Booker used to be GM and Booker did his "You did not just say that," phrase. AJ out next with Big E Langston and called out Dolph Ziggler. She said she is the champ and is doing fine. She then showed Ziggler's house key and they had a good exchange where AJ threw out Ziggler's belongings in ring. It ended with Kaitlyn hitting the spear on AJ and Dolph hitting Fameasser on Langston for the close of the segment.

    4. The Wyatt Family defeated Tons of Funk. Bray Wyatt cut a promo on Kane after the match.

Sandow went to Vicki to tell her about his lost case and said he is going to find his briefcase tonight.

    5. Christian defeated Jack Swagger (w/Zeb Colter). We loved Colter's words. He did speak some truth down here, ha ha, Christian beat swagger with his finisher in a good match.

Sandow was out next to issue a reward for his case. Rhodes was shown on the big screen with the case and the segment ended with Sandow chasing for his case outside.

    6. CM Punk defeated Fandango. Match of the night. This should be the main event of the show.

Sandow was pissed and still looking for his case outside. In a throwback from a previous Smackdown in Corpus Christi when a certain someone got chokeslamed in the ocean, Cody had the briefcase and threw it into the Bay for a huge pop to end Smackdown!!! The case was shown sinking while Sandow yelled for the case and title shot. He jumped out of nowhere to find the case but quickly retreated and ended Smackdown with Sandow choking on water from the Corpus Christi Bay.

Another win for Christian, he's picked up quiet alot of wins since his return but I'm not feeling that they're actually pushing him, they feel like wins just for the sake of a win and not leading anywhere.

They should give him another WHC title reign

If it were the other way around you'd have people complaining about World Champions being beaten and weakening their title reign.

The notion that an upper-mid carder can't be beaten clean (and this wasnt even) by another of that category, without signalling a drop down the card is (or at least should be) a load of crap.

Alot less interesting when one knows the outcome before it arrives.

Poor Fandango. I remember Meltzer expressing concern about the segment before MITB where the heels made fun of him and Barrett laid him out. It felt like he was drifting into Ryder territory, i.e. getting treated like a complete geek. This show paints a similar picture.

In fairness, he had a really good match with Orton on Raw and main evented Smackdown against Punk. I'm sure there's many who'd love to be in that situation. And knowing Punk, he probably gave Fandango a fair bit of offence as well...

It seems to be the route they're going with Christian. I can't see him ever winning the big one again tho.

I wish Christian would stop using the spear, it looks ridiculous.

With the taping of Smackdown being moved from Tuesday to Wednesday, the editing didn't get done in time and at least in Australia, where the show aired today, they had a generic show of old clips in the place of a new episode.

Imagine the freaker Vince is pulling.

At least you have your priorities straight.

Poor Sandow. Wonder if the case blew back in and it had to be redone. Looked like it was coming back.

Was that the same place that 1 or 2 belts have been thrown?

    Watched it by alternative means.

Early in the show the show they mention that the arena is beside the Gulf of Mexico. Of course the pay-off at the end of the show is Cody throws Sandow's MITB case into the Gulf.

Out of curiosity I checked out where the arena was located. Turns out it's nowhere near the Gulf of Mexico. There is indeed a large bay right in front of the arena, but the arena itself is about 25km from the main body of water. :pac:

Fair play to Sandow for jumping in though. I wouldn't have. It looked like there was a lot of crud floating around there. :pac:

ADR beat RVD very quickly this week.

Delighted Cody and Sandow are both getting plenty of airtime and have ceased to being jobbers. Really enjoy watching them. I hope we can get to see a proper promo between the two soon.

Looks like the most interesting feud in the run up to Summerslam to me. Cena-Bryan is yet to become one, Brock won't be around every week in the lead up, and Ziggy/Big E has very much been put on the slowburner.

ADR beat RVD very quickly this week.

    The story as per Meltzer:
–The reason the Alberto Del Rio vs. Rob Van Dam match went the way it did was because Del Rio had broken a rib or ribs the night before against Sheamus. They had advertised the match, and then got out of it with Del Rio doing a sucker superkick while RVD was distracted by the ref. It wasn’t meant as them burying RVD by losing in a minute as much as an attempt to gimmick their way out of the match.

The Dolph Ziggler and AJ segment is so poor, even with AJ's pants.
