I'm looking for a jeep for work and I am struggling to find something suitable for my budget. The main problem is I was hoping for something around 80,000 miles but majority of jeeps I can find for sale have 100k , 110k and up.I don't want anything older than 07 and budget is €8-9k .

Am I mad to consider a 100000 mile jeep?

Mileage shouldn't come into it but if it does drop a year to an '06 one and you might get a better deal. Same car from '06 onwards. 2008+ probably have a premium because they're on the cheaper tax although I'm not sure on that one.

I've narrowed it down to a pathfinder or pajero. I've missed out on a good pathfinder but majority that I can see are over 100k miles in that price range.

Wouldn't be too bothered with miles. It's the type of driving. If it's been 100,000 farm track/towing miles, it'll be fairly tired. One that's never left the motorway would be fresh in comparison at 100k miles.

I'm not sure miles make much odds to a jeep. I spent a week in a Landcruiser lately with 200k + miles and it was rock solid.

Far better to look out for a good model, in good nick and go from there.
