Washing machine won't fill

    Hi there, I have an indesit washing machine that's about 3 years old. When I turn it on, it sounds like water is going in and the drum is turning but there's no water in the machine and the drum hasn't moved (but it sounds like its working) any ideas? Rang indesit and they are trying to sell me a package to fix and 1yr warranty to replace for €190, other option is call out for €114 with no guarantees. Any ideas what I should do?

    you first need to see if water is entering machine by looking into soap dispense box after switching it on for a wash, if its filling the only way it can disappear is by having the waste hose entering a stand pipe that is too low, have the stand pipe to within 3 or 4 inches from machine top and waste pipe pushed down into standpipe about 4 in.

    It sounds like the pipe at the back of your machine might be kinked!!straighten it out so that water can get through! Same thing happened to me!
