Tow bar lights on 06 Astra

I am fitting a tow bar on a 06 Astra. Just for towing a small single axle trailer a couple of times a year so nothing big or heavy.

I have a tow bar and fitting that is a piece of cake but the wiring is another story. I have picked up a PCT Bypass relay and wiring kit and have managed to identify all the necessary cables to lights, brakes, indicators etc and connected them to the relay. My problem now is I need a 12V supply (will be fitting a 15 amp fuse) to supply power to the trailer lights. I really dont want to run a cable back to the battery (removing trim etc).

Has anyone does this before and if so where did they source their 12V supply ?

I could remove the CAN panel behind the rear light and open it to tap a supply from there but to be honest its not something I really want to do unless I have no option.

    Any ideas advice ?

I think most people run a line down from the battery for the bypass relay. Either that or the main dealer wiring kit which plugs in directly with wire cutting.
