Is this possible? Getting about 3 weeks per wick off the protank and about 2 off the T3. Just wondering cause that burnt taste is nasty!

It depends how often your using it and what juice your vaping. If its daily then three weeks is a long time IMO for a pro tank wick and not possible with say an el toro juice.

You can dry burn them when they get gunked up, check YouTube for detailed videos of how to do it.

There will be a burnt taste for a while after but it clears up fast enough.

Jeepers - 3 weeks is a long time for any silica wick I'd say. I would have thought even a week was pretty good.

Cheers guys any suggestions for a better option in relation to tanks? Something with some longevity or am I in Willy Wonka everlasting gob stopper land there?

Yes, yes you are. You know that the replaceable coils/heads are only €2-3 quid yeah? You don't have to repeatedly buy the tanks. You can get away with cleaning the head once or twice by boiling them or soaking in vodka or a combination of both, with a dry-burn to get the last of the coil-gunk away. That'll give you a good while extra if you've managed to go 2-3weeks with the coils so far.

If you want to make things cheaper (well, that depends on your taste or proclivity for wasting money) you have to get into rebuilding.

If you want to make those rebuilds last longer you have to get into rebuilding with SS mesh.

I have a wee plastic bowl I use only for this purpose. I chuck any heads, tanks, tips in there that need a clean - pour boilng water in to cover - let that cool and drain off. Then pour some cheap vodka [buy a naggan of huzzar or other cheap voddy just for this, you'll get loads of cleans from it] and more boiling water. Give it a good swish about, leave to cool. Drain, dry ... done. They're like new ;)
