Family Fun Day (fund raiser) for Dublin City BMX

From Bingo to Zumba this promises to be a great Family Fun Day at Gala Bingo in Ballyfermot with the proceeds of the day going to help keep Dublin City BMX race facility open (www.dcbmx.ie).

The club which runs Irelands only Indoor BMX Race Track in Cherry Orchard Ind Est is struggling to keep the roof over it's head. It's Ireland's only facility which is open all year round and in all weathers, and keep kids young and old actively involved in the newly re-energised sport of BMX Racing where they can explore their desire to be Irelands next world Champion just like Kelvin Batey (http://bmxireland.ie/2013/07/kelvin-batey-world-no-1/) . This facility is vital in our "four seasons in one day" climate and really comes into it's own once the nights come in and the temperates drop.

I've taken the below from the gala Ballyfermot facebook page where they have clarified the costs of rides and so on for Sunday.

Gala Bally
Sunday28th funday. 12pm to 5pm

Gala bingo car park !

There is Free BBQ
... Free face painting

Free balloon modelling
Free ghd glitter curls
Meet & greet spider man
Meet & greet big bird
Massage & sports therapy
Zumba dancing
Nail painting

These are Free but this event is a fundraiser so we will have buckets around for people to make donations , we also have costs to cover before any profits are made costs such as gas for BBQ , hire of suits etc ..

There are costs involved in the rides so they have to be paid for plus this is a fundraising event so we have to make money for the club..therefor we have to charge for the rides and then the donation boxes are optional if people want to pay for those services ...

There is lots going on we hope to see you all Sunday it's in the car park at the rear of the gala EVERYBODY is welcome ...

People keep texting me asking me the PRICES OF THE RIDES : all of the stuff mentioned above that says FREE IS FREE HOWEVER THIS IS A FUNDRAISER & beside each of the services there will be a bucket and for example if your child got nails painted you would throw money as little or as large as you can afford into the bucket, I don't think we can be much fairer than that , don't forget all these people are volunteering their time services and skills FREE for a reason to raise money .. The only thing we want is everybody to have a great day .. Don't take advantage , it's not a free for all it's a fundraiser where we have decided not to put a price on anything if you can afford a donation great if you can't that's fine too..

You will get a couple of goes on slide for €1 and few minutes on bouncy castle for €1

Formula cars 3 to 4 minutes for €3

A very busy day. Lots of smiling faces and lots of fun had by all. We raised over €2k mostly through the bingo side of things.

No suncream or umbrellas needed as being indoors we are insulated from the elements. So pop up when you get a chance.
