Help with funding a FETAC level 5 course

    Hi,

I've recently been accepted to do a FETAC level 5 course in a College of Further Education in Dublin.

As far as I know, the Student Universal Support Ireland (SUSI) only offers grants to those doing PLC or undergraduate courses. So I was wondering if there is any other kind of official grant/financial aid scheme that I can apply for to help with fees, books, travel expenses etc? Or alternatively, if there are any NGO's or local charitable organizations in Dublin anybody might know of that may assist with fee contributions.

Any help or advice with this would be greatly appreciated,

    Many thanks in advance! :)

Some of the local area partnerships or local employment services can help - what area of Dublin do you live in?

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Hi Mango Salsa - thanks so much for the reply. I'm currently living in Smithfield (Northside of the City Centre). Would you know of any in that area who might be able to help?

I think if you contact the LES that is nearest you they might be able to help

They MIGHT be able to get you what is called a TESG grant
